“HECHO has a critical role to play in conservation advocacy across the country. Whenever we have local Hispano elected leaders and local community leaders stand up and fight for things like National Monuments or fire assistance grants for victims of massive wildfires, we get things done. We must have our voices in the room, and HECHO provides that platform,” says Rep. Gabe Vasquez from New Mexico.
