Izmir Areli Moor: From Curious Child to Hunter, Angler & Artemis Ambassador

Meet Izmir Areli Moor: a hunter, angler, and Artemis Ambassador. Her journey into the outdoors wasn’t traditional, it was self-made. Izmir didn’t grow up hunting or fishing. As a child on road trips, she was the one asking, “Can we climb that hill? What’s behind that river?” That pull toward the outdoors never left her. Without mentors or encouragement, she forged her own path: learning firearms safety, volunteering to teach women and children, and eventually stepping into the hunting world completely on her own. From harvesting turkey and pheasant for her family to landing a 110-pound bluefin tuna at 3AM, Izmir embodies organic conservation: protecting the land, respecting wildlife, and helping others learn to love the outdoors the right way. As an Artemis Ambassador, she continues learning, advocating, and expanding her impact in the outdoor community.
