HECHO celebrates the New Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni–Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument

There is probably no better way to celebrate HECHO's tenth anniversary than with the designation of the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument, protecting nearly one million acres of public lands surrounding this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

"We have been working on protecting the Grand Canyon from uranium mining for years. We worked very hard among so many other groups and people and Tribal leaders to make this possible. We really want to thank everybody who's participated in our campaigns."
