AZ Public Lands Day

We celebrate Arizona Public Lands Day on the first Saturday of April each year. The bill creating the holiday was drafted in 2019 by a team of conservationists. Did you know the state has over 30 million acres of public lands? This means that nearly 50% of all Arizona land is for people to enjoy camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and so much more! Go outside, and learn about Arizona's amazing public lands, wildlife and recreational opportunities. But remember that just as we have the right to enjoy them, we are responsible for caring for and protecting them.

Unfortunately, Arizonan public lands are under threat due to several bills at the Arizona legislature. Learn more about these bills and Act Now for Public Lands.
