Thousands of Gallons of Oil Spilled in Colorado

The recent floods in Colorado have been disastrous to many communities and have caused millions of dollars in damages with repair time estimated to take several months. However, the situation is more serious than water damage as more than 20 thousand gallons of oil have spilled oil and gas drilling operations, one in particular near South Platte River just North of Denver.

Residents are worried about any permanent and serious damage caused by the spill and environmentalists fear the floods could pick up chemicals from nearby fracking operations.
